Regular grooming keeps dogs comfortable and happy, but most dog owners have had experience with groomers that have left them feeling disappointed—and given their dog ‘groomer-fear’ for life! Dog grooming is sadly a profession full of people who care more about getting to your money than they do about giving your dog the best care. Sunshine Paws aims to change this.
Sunshine Paws was founded on the principle of transparency. You should know what you’re getting with your dog’s cut, and feel safe to have your dog in our hands. We make sure you know what you’re paying for, and give your dog a positive, reassuring experience that will leave them happy to return. We offer grooming schedules for regular clients ensuring consistent care and tailored styling. Our trained groomers do health checks, ear-cleaning, nail trims, and consult with you on your preferred style.
When you get a dog groomed with Sunshine Paws, you don’t just get a great-looking dog, you get peace of mind too - because dogs should receive the same care in looking after their physical appearance that humans get.
About Me
Hi, I'm Lucy. I'm from West Yorkshire, I'm a lifelong dog owner, animal obsessive, and I'm head groomer at Sunshine Paws in Bradford.
In a prior career I worked as a Project Manager, but since childhood I've kept my interest in animal welfare alive through volunteering, most recently as a Canine Carer and Socialiser at the RSPCA, and supporting those who have lost pets as a Pet Bereavement Supporter with the Blue Cross. As the years went by I could no longer ignore the calling to make working with dogs my full-time profession, so I gained my level 3 diploma in Dog Grooming from City and Guilds and set up my own business. Sunshine Paws was born.
When I'm not grooming at Sunshine Paws, I love yoga and going on long walks in the Yorkshire countryside with my cute (and slightly crazy) goldendoodle Spud.
